Short Term Accommodation

Shorter House, Traralgon, is the right place to stay, rest and play

Short Term Accommodation & Respite

A hidden gem nestled in the heart of Gippsland in Traralgon is Shorter House, C2A's Short Term Accommodation (STA) and Respite amenity. Shorter House is a relaxing, fully accessible, home-away-from-home, equipped and ready to welcome you, when you need to get away. It is ideal for when you need to live out of home for a short period, perhaps when you need a break away, or your usual support network isn’t available. We also make it available to carers.

What are the facilities like?

Shorter House is a home-away-from-home, featuring three bedrooms, a relaxing lounge area, dining room and fully equipped kitchen, two bathrooms including an accessible bathroom with a tilt shower chair, two TVs, an adjustable single bed including crash mats, and a princess chair.

Does NDIS funding apply?

Yes it does. NDIS funding can be used for respite to support you and your carers. If you already have funding in your Core budget, you can use this for STA.

The NDIS usually funds up to 28 days of STA per year and can be used flexibly – eg: you might want to use it in a block of up to 14 days at a time or for one weekend a month.

Contact us for further details about NDIS funding requirements.
